Well, folks, it’s here. The only time of year when people across America actually want to watch commercials. So much so, in fact, that they’ll search for them online, share them with their friends, and talk about them endlessly. It’s Super Bowl time. The Super Bowl commercial craze isn’t limited to football fans, either – even people who couldn’t care less about the game will still tune in just to watch the commercials…or at the very least, they’ll watch a few online. And for those who don’t actively seek Super Bowl commercials out on their own, most nightly news broadcasts will spend a few minutes recapping the most memorable ones. Of course, with all the buzz surrounding Super Bowl commercials, the companies paying for them would be crazy not to wrap entire online campaigns around these ads, as well. • Since You Probably Won’t be Able to Afford Facebook Video Ads…

We don’t have a lot of details at this point, but we’re anticipating that this summer Facebook will roll out video ads — 15 second ads that reportedly will autoplay and mute by default, allowing users to tune in if they want to, but keep scrolling if they don’t. Facebook’s Client Council which includes major brands like American Express, Unilever, Ford and Coca-Cola are said to be testing the new video ads which will let advertisers choose from one of four demographics to target — women over 30, women under 30, men over 30 and men under 30. How will Facebook Video Ads work? The company has yet to release all the details so there are still many questions about how Facebook video ads will work. We don’t know exactly how far of a reach or distribution advertisers will have. And we don’t know if the ads will only be seen by users who already like a certain brand or if they will extend to friends of friends, or if they’ll be seen by everyone. But AdAge, one of the first publications to report on this story, says that several of the executives interviewed are suspecting that advertisers will be…

What are your thoughts on that? Is that legit? Idan: One of the things that Google absolutely told us every time is they’re not looking for something that another website can do. We don’t want the same thing on our search engine result page, with the same content, with the same title, with same METAS, same review. Shama: Duplicates are a big no-no for Google. Idan: Right. You want to see a variety of results of information people can actually relate to. When you use a search engine, you’re gathering information and every website should be different with the same relevant information. It’s very important, yes. Shama: All right, so when people…
